DESIGNER STATEMENT

I have always viewed fashion as an artful escape; I love the excitement that comes with a new project and the joy of sharing your finalized work. As a designer, I hope to positively impact my corner of the world through the confidence that associates itself with clothes that fully encapsulate one’s essence. Big picture, I aspire to be the creative director of my own fashion house.

My style is minimalistic yet bold, translated through a relaxed elegance. I tend to draw inspiration from streetwear and pop culture—two elements that find themselves intertwined frequently.

My love for creative projects is constantly growing, which continues to positively impact my designs.

SERPENTE:

A STYLE COLLECTION PROJECT

INSPIRATION FOR SERPENTE

He is a 25-year-old living in an urban area, after relocating from the outer suburbs. While he enjoys working his corporate office job, his true passions lie with his music and art. He enjoys runs at the park, brunch down the street from his apartment, and a night out with his friends. His aesthetic is minimalistic and sleek, with influences from today’s fashion movements. When shopping, he prioritizes sustainability by choosing quality pieces that will carry him through the ebbs and flows of “trendy” fashion. Serpente, the Fall/Winter 2023 Menswear line from The KR Project, embodies the elevated-casual cool that is the enticing boy next door.

Competitive brands for this collection include Bode, Fear of God, Off White, and Prada. All of these brands’ collections market to the same target men of the Serpente style collection. Their menswear aesthetics are timeless, but effortlessly cool in their take on modern trends.

LA VITA E BELLA:

A STYLE COLLECTION PROJECT

She is a soon-to-be mother with a taste for the finer things. She enjoys strolls around the city and lattes on the balcony. When she is not working in her high-rise office, she is attending cycling classes or traveling to exotic destinations with her husband. They are recently expecting and more than excited to start their life with their newest addition. While she has no problem shopping for herself, she is having a difficult experience finding clothes she loves that accommodate her changing body.

La Vita é Bella is designed for the woman moving into this next phase of life but unwilling to give up the things that make her feel beautiful.
